Estatua-Menhir, Museo Numantino, Soria

ESP Estatua-Menhir expuesta en Museo Numantino, Soria. Encontrada en 1917 en una dehesa de Villar del Ala. Representa una figura humana de forma esquemática aunque con la cabeza bien diferenciada y en la zona de la cintura se aprecia un broche de cinturón o la cabeza de un hacha. Debido a la falta de contexto arqueológico, se ha recurrido a comparaciones con estatuas-menhir similares del norte de la Península para adscribirla a los inicios de la Edad del Bronce.

ENG Menhir-statue exhibited in the Numantine Museum, Soria. Found in 1917 in a pasture in Villar del Ala. It represents a human figure in schematic form although with a well-differentiated head and in the waist area a belt buckle or the head of an axe can be seen. Due to the lack of archaeological context, comparisons with similar Menhir statues from the north of the Iberian Peninsula have been used to ascribe it to the Early Bronze Age.
